My name is Manuela
I’ve got a Spanish name and I was born in 1961 in Italy (where I grew up and still live and work).
I’ve been a Duran fan since the «Planet Earth» days in 1981.
At present I think I am one of the eldest fan in my country, and I’m sure the eldest in the mailing list of the «duran.it» Italian website, of which I’ve been member for one year.
I only saw Duran Duran twice, both times in 1987, during their «Strange Behaviour Tour». This was due not to the fact I was to young to go to a concert, but because they hardly toured Italy.
My favourite group members have always been Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor. Unfortunately I’ve never managed to see them perform live, since when Duran came to Italy for the first time it was in 1987 and the two Taylor boys had already left the band. Hopefully I’ll be able to in the near future.
I personally like summer and going to the beach; then reading books, going to the cinema, writing and travelling.
I also like trading in tapes, videos & photos related to Duran.
What do I collect besides Duran? Not much really, apart from movie videos
